The Skygate in the Munich Airport Business Park Hallbergmoos continues to grow: the sixth tenant, the biotech company Plectonic Logibody, is now moving in.
Hallbergmoos -
With the widespread introduction of AI software like ChatGPT, many people around the world have suddenly realized how artificial intelligence and technological evolution are changing lives.
But: “Compared to the research of the new tenant Plectonic Logibody GmbH in Hallbergmooser Skygate, ChatGPT seems like a gimmick,” says Rock Capital Group, the responsible project developer.
Plectonic Logibody specializes in developing and manufacturing nanoparticles that help in cancer therapy.
A long-term rental agreement was concluded for the 1,300 square meters.
The “brother” is in the south of Munich
In recent months and years, biotech pioneers such as Pieris Pharmaceuticals, vermicon AG, LabPMM, Metabolon and the automation and engineering specialist Zeta have already rented laboratory space in the Munich Airport Business Park.
As a result, a life science cluster has been established that is positioning itself as a northern complement to its southern counterpart in Martinsried (municipality of Planegg).
Plectonic Logibody's developments include a nanoswitch that connects immune cells with tumor cells.
In this way, the body's immune system is supposed to target cancer cells.
The new treatment approach is considered groundbreaking in medical research.
The company plans to move into the premises from mid-2024
Andreas Wißmeier, Managing Director of Rock Capital Group, explains: “The groundbreaking research by tenants like Plectonic Logibody makes Skygate a place where socially significant impact is created.” According to Wißmeier, the company will use its space in the complex and extensively revitalized building complex available from mid-2024.
A new work concept is currently being developed for Plectonic Logibody's 1,300 square meters.
About half of it will be office space.
Not only are modern offices available on site, but also state-of-the-art laboratories, meeting rooms and a spacious social area.
Klaus Wagenbauer, founder and CEO of Plectonic, is particularly pleased about the infrastructure: “It is currently not easy to find high-quality space that combines a laboratory, office, team spirit and good catering.” In Hallbergmoos, his company is expecting a modern building with its own Restaurant, “interesting neighbors and excellent connections” to the motorway and airport.
Mademann sees MABP as an “international research and development location”
Alexander Mademann, the community’s economic development officer, is also in good spirits: “We are very pleased about Plectonic Logibody moving into Skygate.
The Munich Airport Business Park is increasingly succeeding in positioning itself as an international research and development location.”
