The Tölzer Volunteer Fire Department has had busy days.

The range was wide and ranged from burnt food to a traffic accident.

Bad Tölz – The Tölz fire department has had to deal with a number of operations in the past few days.

The most recent occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

At around 4 a.m., an attentive newspaper delivery person reported a smoking garbage can on Christian-Pabst-Weg via the emergency number.

The fire brigade discovered smoldering ash while emptying the bin.

According to the police, the fire was quickly extinguished.

The fire burned a hole in the barrel.

According to the homeowner, the bin is used by several parties, which is why it cannot be determined who put the ashes in it.

Seven emergency services from the Tölz fire department were busy for half an hour.

Accident on the Tölzer bypass road

The evening before, the volunteers responded to an accident on the Tölzer bypass road.

A vehicle fire was reported between the south and center junctions, but this turned out to be a mistake on site.

At around 6 p.m., a 35-year-old was driving her VW Golf on the B472 towards Bad Heilbrunn.

Due to traffic, she had to stop shortly after the railway bridge.

The driver behind her in his Ford Fiesta realized this too late and drove into the Golf.

The airbag in the Fiesta deployed during the collision.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Tölzer Hospital as a precaution.

The Fiesta was no longer drivable and had to be towed away.

The two vehicles suffered damage amounting to around 6,000 euros.

The 16 firefighters took care of redirecting traffic and cleaning the road.

Tumble dryer, microwave and food on fire

The fire department had to move to Schützenstrasse late on Monday morning.

A clothes dryer caught fire in the basement of a hotel.

“By the time we arrived, everyone had already left the building,” reports the fire department.

The fire was quickly extinguished.

The rooms were then cleared of smoke.

19 forces were deployed for an hour.

The fire brigade was called to the scene on Saturday morning by a microwave fire in a clinic on Wengleinstrasse.

Here too it was quickly deleted.

This also applied to the operation the evening before at around 10:40 p.m., which took place nearby in an apartment building.

There was smoke on the ground floor.

There was a suspicion that people could be in danger.

When the forces arrived on site, all residents had already left the house.

The cause of the smoke was quickly found in one of the apartments: there was a pot with burnt food on the stove.

He was taken outside and the apartment was ventilated.

After 45 minutes, a total of 27 emergency services were able to leave again.
