After several weeks in turmoil, the position of the new Minister of National Education remains fragile.
This Monday, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra is heard at the National Assembly by deputies from the Cultural Affairs and Education Committee of the National Assembly on her action.
The socialist deputy Arthur Delaporte questioned the minister on the question of financing private schools and accused the minister of “fueling the school war” between the public and the private sector.
“It is you who refuse to resign,” added the elected official, to the cries of other deputies chanting “François Bayrou”.
Questioned the day before on the set of 20H on France 2, the mayor of Pau did not rule out the possibility of joining Gabriel Attal's government to replace Amélie Oudéa-Castéra.
At the same time, the minister had to face a new day of teachers' strike.
