After the decision of Senegalese President Macky Sall to postpone the presidential election indefinitely, scheduled for February 25, Parliament voted in a chaotic atmosphere on a bill aimed at postponing the vote until December 15, 2024. This is a first in Senegal, considered an island of democratic stability in a region prey to military coups.
