Berlin - The CDU has announced exclusion proceedings against the owner of the Potsdam villa, where a secret meeting of right-wing extremists took place in November.
The owner is CDU member Wilhelm Wilderink, reports the newspaper

The district executive board will be tasked with preparing an exclusion process, the district chairman of the Potsdam CDU, Steeven Bretz, told the newspaper.

The CDU had previously given the owner of the Adlon country house in the north of Potsdam until Monday (February 5th) of this week to leave the party on his own initiative.
The party did not receive a letter of resignation from Wilderink, said Bretz.
A CDU party court at district level should now deal with the case.
Bretz did not provide any information about the details of the district association's decision.
Wilderink sits on the district board of the CDU Potsdam.
According to the media report, when asked by his party, he initially denied having been at the controversial meeting in November, but later admitted to taking part.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, party expulsion proceedings are already underway against a CDU member who also took part in the meeting in Potsdam.
