Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) married his partner Julia Schwanholz between the years.

Boris Pistorius has been dating Julia Schwanholz since 2022.
Between the years he has now married the political scientist.
Berlin – Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and his partner Julia Schwanholz got married - secretly.
The wedding took place between the years, as a spokesman for the Defense Ministry announced in Berlin.

newspaper first
reported on it.
Schwanholz, who is around 20 years younger than the 63-year-old Pistorius, comes from Lower Saxony like him and is a member of the SPD.
Pistorius and Schwanholz have been together for more than a year
“We can confirm that Federal Minister Pistorius got married between the days,” the newspaper quoted the ministry spokesman as saying.
The minister himself has not yet made a public statement about his marriage, but he now appears wearing a wedding ring during his appearances
Schwanholz works as an academic advisor at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
She is also chairwoman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women in Osnabrück, her husband's hometown.
Previously, from 2016 to 2022, Pistorius was in a relationship with another party comrade: Doris Schröder-Köpf, the ex-wife of former Chancellor Gerhard Schröder.
His first wife died in 2015.
Pistorius married secretly: Ministry confirms wedding
Schröder-Köpf publicly praised Pistorius' character highly last year.
“He is the perfect combination of experience and openness, grounding and imagination, a sense of responsibility and generosity,” wrote the then 59-year-old in a guest article for Bild in April
under
the heading “That’s why everyone loves Boris.”
She wrote: “He leaves behind neither politically nor privately scorched earth.
He has strong opinions and leadership, and the women in the Defense Department can rely on him to see their interests and promote their talents.”
Until he took office as Federal Defense Minister just over a year ago, Pistorius was the Interior Minister of Lower Saxony.
In this role, he appeared publicly for the first time together with his current wife in Hanover at the state elections in October 2022.
