The helicopter of former Chilean president Sebastián Piñera crashed this Tuesday in the commune of Lago Ranco, in the Los Ríos region in the south of the country, according to local newspapers Emol and La Tercera.
There were four people on board the device;
Three of them were injured when the helicopter fell into the lake around three in the afternoon (local time), but they managed to swim to shore.
Another person lost his life in the incident, according to the aforementioned media, which have not yet reported the identity of those affected.
