The Tutzinger Youth Advisory Board has been reorganized - eight male and two female members are on the board.

Five young people from the town are new.

Tutzing – The second Tutzinger youth advisory board has started its work.

The election took place in recent weeks as a postal vote.

Around 15 percent of the approximately 1,000 young people in Tutzingen between the ages of 12 and 23 have exercised their right to vote.

The old and new chairman of the youth advisory board, Paul Friedrich, sees an improvement compared to the first election two years ago: “Last time the turnout was just over ten percent.”

Ten candidates were up for election.

Five of them were already part of the youth advisory board in the last election period, and five new candidates were nominated.

Up to eleven candidates would have been possible.

“After only ten people were up for election, everyone was elected,” said Friedrich.

The new youth advisory board therefore includes the following young people: Juliana von Brühl-Störlein, Lukas Dreher, Paul Friedrich, Johanna Fischer, Joel Hafner, Tobias Hartmann, Fabian Möller, Tobias Möller, Yannick Schoening and Tim Terbrack.

The youth advisory board was already constituted on Sunday at the invitation of youth representative Claus Piesch.

At the meeting, the previous chairman Paul Friedrich was confirmed in his office.

His deputies are Tim Terbrack and Tobias Hartmann.

Friedrich is looking forward to the next two years.

During this time he would like to gradually hand the youth advisory board into younger hands.

“We have some new and young members who can help shape the youth advisory board beyond my time in Tutzing.

I am particularly pleased that we have five new members on board and five members under the age of 18.”

Chairman wants to rejuvenate city partnerships and accompany the European elections

In his remaining time as chairman, he would like to rejuvenate the city partnerships and support the European elections.

“From this time onwards you can vote at the age of 16, which is new for many people,” says Friedrich.

“The youth advisory board has a special responsibility here.”

Mayor Ludwig Horn, who was at the youth advisory board's election party on Wednesday and announced the result, was also at the constituent meeting.

He emphasized: “I am looking forward to working together.

In the next two years we will be able to achieve a lot and make Tutzing even more attractive for young people.” The youth advisory board has the right to submit applications to the local council and to be heard in council meetings.
