Pennsylvania police arrested more than 100 protesters who came to demonstrate illegally on the steps of local government offices in the city of Harrisburg.
The demonstrators called on the local government to withdraw its investments in Israeli bonds and some even wore shirts with the inscription "disengage from the genocide".
Bishop Roin Duister also spoke at the demonstration, saying that "you should not buy Israeli bonds in the amount of 56 million dollars, but take this money and invest it in building new schools."
In the demonstration area, signs against Israel were raised and pro-Palestinian chants including Free Palestine were heard.
The organizations "Jewish Voice for Peace", the Palestinian coalition, and the Pennsylvania Council on Relations between the United States and Islam were behind the protest.
