A young man sent his rival a nasty message via Instagram.

The person addressed didn't want to put up with this - and filed a complaint for insult.

Dachau

– A 20-year-old man from Dachau had to answer for insults before the Dachau district court on Tuesday.

He had told a friend or acquaintance via Instagram - it was no longer possible to find out exactly during the trial -: “You are not a man.

You are a big cock.

You're a faggot!

Why are you following my cousin?!” The person addressed was particularly bothered by the word “cock” and reported the incident.

The defendant, who has an Iraqi passport in addition to his German one, was unable to understand the complaint.

The recipient of the message is a “compatriot.

We sort things out between ourselves!”

And quite apart from that: “He insulted me just as much!”

Judge Cornelia Handl exercised leniency.

In fact, it cannot be ruled out that the 20-year-old could also have been verbally attacked.

And he showed good will by deregistering from a Dachau fitness studio.

There, as the defendant and the Dachau police agreed in court, there had recently been unpleasant arguments between the men.

Defendant is short of money because he supports his parents

However, it was no longer possible to find out on Tuesday what the reason for the rivals' mutual dislike was.

On this point the defendant was a bit reserved.

However, he became much more talkative when he answered - in his last word, as it was said in court - about the matter and, above all, the prosecutor's demand for a fine of 400 euros: "Why do I have to pay 400 euros for an insult?

I just don't understand that!

To be honest, financially, I don't have much left." The young man, who works through a temporary employment agency in a large Munich company, supports his parents with money every month, according to him, as his father is seriously ill.

“I won't let my father work so much anymore.

Not that it will blow him away at some point!” It is therefore clear to him: “400 euros is too much for me!”

Judge Handl gave in.

The fine that the 20-year-old now has to pay and which he ultimately accepted - reluctantly - is now 200 euros.

“You're a big dick” is an insult, says Handl.

She also associated the painful punishment with the hope that the young Dachau native would finally learn from his mistakes.

He already has four convictions to his name – for theft, insults, grievous bodily harm and fraud.

However, apart from so-called judicial instructions, which ordered him to take part in a training course for social behavior, for example, these judgments had no real consequences.
