In a first step, the depot is to be expanded to 646 square meters with a three-story office building, in which up to five employee apartments are also planned. Generous expansion plans for the depot on Mitterweg in Herrsching.

Herrsching

– The wastewater and water companies Ammersee (AWA) are reaching their limits on their premises on Mitterweg in Herrsching.

From the original twelve employees, the companies have now grown to 51 employees with new requirements and areas of responsibility.

It's not just in the administration building that things are getting tight.

After soil removal began on the municipal property on Mitterweg, where affordable housing is to be built, parking space that AWA employees had also been used was lost.

AWA board member Maximilian Bleimaier presented expansion requests to the Herrschingen building committee on Monday, which, however, can only be realized with a change to the development plan.

The expansion is planned in two phases.

In a first step, the depot is to be expanded to 646 square meters with a three-story office building, in which up to five employee apartments are also planned.

The attic is set back and has a green flat roof.

At the same time, an underground car park is planned to be built with 36 duplex spaces and a total of 46 parking spaces.

The three-story house matches the surroundings in the northern area, where there are already three-story apartment buildings, explained Bleimaier.

However, the town center I development plan, which includes the depot, does not currently provide for a three-story structure there.

A partial change would be necessary.

It wouldn't be the first in the development plan.

“It is now the tenth,” said Melanie Faude from the building authority, but did not express any concerns.

Only in a second phase, probably not before 2035, will the existing substation on Mitterweg be replaced by a new building.

Bleimaier assumes that Bayernwerke will no longer have any use for it by then.

“With the planning we are on a solid basis,” replied the AWA board in response to a question from Roland Lübeck (CSU) about where the journey would take us in the future.

“We will never have 100 employees,” said Bleimaier.

After the depot was equipped with a powerful heat pump, Gerd Mulert (Greens) asked about the possibility of offering a heating network - for example for the planned new municipal buildings.

“Maybe you can give something there,” he said.

“Pastor Rapp had already made inquiries,” reported Bleimaier and promised to have this checked again as part of the planning.

The building committee unanimously approved the expansion of the AWA depot with a central garage and an office building with employee apartments based on the preliminary draft planning presented.

Only when the partial change is legally binding can detailed planning begin.
