The Chief of Staff in a reserve exercise in the north: the likelihood of war in the north is higher than before"/Doc
The reservist who contracted an infectious fungus in Gaza died this morning (Wednesday) from his wounds at Sheba Hospital.
A few weeks ago the fighter was seriously injured in Gaza and contracted a fungus.
Along with the severe injury he suffered, the soldier was also infected with a rare and dangerous fungus that penetrated his body systems.
After his family appealed for help and asked for assistance on social media in obtaining an experimental compassion medicine that is in Ireland, at the Sheba Hospital where he was hospitalized, they managed to contact the Pfizer company in order to bring the medicine to Israel, which unfortunately failed to save his life.

Many injuries suffered by soldiers during the battles in Gaza are characterized by infections, which can sometimes be life-threatening.
And so, when a wounded person is admitted to the emergency room for treatment, a professional team is also attached to him whose job it is to find infections and treat them in real time, at the same time as the main medical treatment that the soldier receives due to his injury.
