 The fifth Sanremo Festival of Amadeus (from 9.25pm ​​to 1.59am) debuts with an average audience of 10 million 561 thousand viewers with a 65.1% share.

The first evening of the 2023 Festival (broadcast from 9.18pm to 1.40am) recorded an average of 10 million 758 thousand viewers, equal to a 62.5% share.


    The first part of the prime time (from 9.25pm ​​to 11.31pm) attracted 15 million 75 thousand spectators with a 64.3% share;

the second part (from 11.34pm to 1.59am) achieved 6 million 527 thousand with 66.9%.

Last year the first part of the first evening of the festival attracted 14 million 160 thousand viewers equal to a 61.7% share in the first part and 6 million 296 thousand with 64.4% in the second.


With a 65.1% media share, Amadeus beats itself again and achieves the highest result since 1995,

when the festival hosted by Pippo Baudo, with Anna Falchi and Claudia Koll, debuted with a 65.15% share.

In 2023 the festival, again led by Amadeus, had obtained an average of 62.5% in the first evening, in 2022 54.7%, in 2021 46.6%, in 2020 52.2%. 

The first evening of Sanremo 2024 achieved record results also in terms of total audience:

10.9 million viewers, of which 10.6 million linked to the big screen, 320 thousand to the small screen (therefore to devices), +27% compared to 2023

.

The record for connected devices was reached at 10.35pm, when there were 670 thousand.

On connected TVs one in 4 viewers is under 34 years old, on devices one in 2 is 34 years old.

These are the data presented in the press room in Sanremo.

The festival has become younger, half of the spectators who followed it on linear TV are between 15 and 54 years old.

Sanremo recorded over 25 million registered users on RaiPlay, 120 clips were published, the devices connected to linear use grew by 50% compared to 2023, by 110% compared to 2022.

Gender violence will also be on stage tonight

The theme of gender violence will also arrive on the Ariston stage this evening,

"through the new words of love by the writer Matteo Bussola with the cast of Mare Fuori", broadcast on RaiPlay from February 1st and from the 14th on Rai2.

The deputy director of Rai1 Federica Lentini announced it in the press room in Sanremo.

There will also be space for the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics with the presentation of the two mascots and the City of Sanremo Lifetime Achievement Award for set designer Gaetano Castelli.
