The Public Prosecutor's Office of Vicenza has entered the parents of a 4-month-old girl who died in June while sleeping in the bed with her father and mother in Rossano Veneto (Vicenza) on the register of suspects for manslaughter.
The registration follows the outcome of the autopsy, from which it emerged that the little girl died from crushing, and not from the so-called "cot death".
While the family was sleeping in the bed, the parents realized that the little girl was in pain and called 118, asking for help and speaking of cardiac arrest.
The father had started resuscitation, following the indications of the Suem, until the arrival of the ambulance, which continued the maneuvers and took the little girl to hospital in Bassano del Grappa, where, however, she died.
