That could have ended badly: In Garmisch-Partenkirchen, an unknown person lifted out a manhole cover during the night.
Luckily, a local resident was paying attention.
GAP - A dangerous intervention in road traffic occurred on the Herbststrasse in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Wednesday night (February 7th).
According to the police, around 4:30 a.m. a resident noticed that a manhole cover had been removed from the shaft by a previously unknown person and lifted onto the road.
This can sometimes lead to life-threatening situations, warn the police.
Fortunately, no one was endangered or harmed in this case - the police patrol put the manhole cover back on the shaft.
The Garmisch police station is now asking for information from witnesses.
