At the end of the month, the agreement signed with the state will expire, and the Isrotel chain wants to return the hotel to its purpose - tourism. For now, the evacuees have not received a solution for continued housing. "With short notice they announced that we have to evacuate by the end of the month," complained one of the evacuees. "Apparently we were in some kind of traffic jam when there were no tourists"

About 200 evacuees from the Western Galilee will be required to be sterilized again - and this time from the "Carmel Forests" hotel where they have been staying for the past few months.

At the end of the month, the agreement with the state expires and the Isrotel network wants to return it to its normal purpose - tourism.

The evacuees, most of them members of Kibbutz Mitzvah, received the message with astonishment and great anger, from the representatives of the Meta Asher Regional Council - who informed them of the evil of the decree in a meeting they held with them last night (Monday) at the hotel.

A senior official at the Ministry of Tourism said without quoting, that the issue is known throughout the country: "It's not just them. The government's decision on the evacuation ends on 29.2. It's a decision of the security authorities - the Ministry of Defense and the National Emergency Authority. The Ministry of Tourism is only implementing a policy on the matter."

For now, the evacuees themselves have not received any official notification from the state, nor a concrete solution for continued housing.

The council representatives who came to meet them at the hotel told them that they were trying to arrange an alternative hotel for them in Ma'alot or Tiberias.

These solutions do not agree with the location of the school known as "Sotkin" ("Solam Tzur in Kiryat Motzkin") that the regional council established for the children of the evacuees.

Particularly worried are the high school students, who are facing the matriculation exams, who will have to find an arrangement for their studies this year, within five months - first they studied at the school of the regional council before October 7, then, they were transferred to study in Zoom from the hotel, from there they moved to study at the school of the council The Carmel Beach Regional School in Kfar Galim, then they were transferred again to the school in Kiryat Motzkin.

Now, as mentioned, they are expected to move to another school in the city where they will be housed.

All this, when the option of the military campaign in the north has not yet been removed from the table and when returning home is not yet on the agenda.

"They didn't even tell us what the assembly was about. At short notice, several representatives from our regional council came and informed us that we had until March 1 to vacate the hotel," lamented one of the evacuees staying in the "Carmel Forests," "Apparently we were a kind of traffic jam when there were no tourists, so they took us ".

According to him, "We understand that it is more profitable to let regular guests in, but for us the feeling is horrible first of all because it is as if we are not part of the process. Because we have already gotten used to it, we felt safe with this solution, we got used to the routine here, and we got used to this way of life and suddenly we are shaken again. Neither It's fair that they arrive in the 90th minute, three weeks before another evacuation."

"We don't know what will happen with the graduations," said Lavala!

16-year-old Nitai Shtrit, a 11th grade student from Kibbutz Mitzvah, who has been living in the Yerot HaCarmel Hotel for three months now. He is a member of a family of five, who sleeps crowdedly in two hotel rooms assigned to them. His parents continue to work in the Western Galilee

. The new book and the long trips - once again you have to think about what will happen and how you prepare for the exams like this." He said that although there was no advance notice, there was a feeling in the air that something was going to change, "This has been reflected recently in less cleaning of rooms, changing of bed linen, and a decrease in the quality of food, which brought us to fear that they are going to evict us.

Unfortunately, this fear has come true."

By the way, Bishrotel vehemently deny these claims.

Moshe Davidovich, head of the Meta Asher Regional Council and chairman of the Line of Conflict Forum said: "The Isrotel network has informed our displaced persons in the Carmel forests that at the end of the month their stay at the hotel will end.

This is a fatal blow for hundreds of families whose lives have been turned upside down for more than 120 days and the state is actually throwing them out on the street while at the same time there is a war going on in the north and they have no home to return to.

This morning I spoke with the Minister of Tourism and the Director General of the Ministry of Tourism demanding an immediate solution to this issue."

The Isrotel chain informed Walla: "Since October 7 and for the past 4 months, the Isrotel chain has stopped its regular activities and opened all 23 of its hotels, including its luxury hotels, for the benefit of evacuees from the surrounding area and the north, with generosity and unparalleled dedication, as evidenced by the many letters of thanks we received , including hundreds of letters of thanks and the unprecedented appreciation of Mtsova members."

"Now, when the network is beginning to return to its normal operations and as the end date of the agreement to host the evacuees with the state approaches, Isrotel has offered the approximately 200 members of the Mitzvah who are still staying at the hotel, suitable alternatives, both in other Isrotel hotels and in hotels that do not belong to the chain, in consultation and coordination with the treasurer of the Asher Headquarters Council, And out of care and concern for the well-being of the evacuees."

Bishrotel stressed: "Starting on March 1, the Carmel Forest Hotel will return to hosting guests in the usual format and its employees will return to work after 4 months in Chalat, while evacuees are still staying in 19 hotels of the chain.

The residents of Mtsova entered our hearts and they are very important to us, we will find suitable solutions for all of them and we thank them for the privilege we had of having them as a home during this time."
