There was a fire in a workshop in Urspring on Wednesday.

On Wednesday (February 7th) there was a fire in a workshop in Urspring.
The battery of a tool exploded while charging.
Urspring – It was probably a technical defect that caused a workshop fire in Urspring on Wednesday morning (February 7th).
As Toni Müller from the Schongau police reports, the workshop owner had plugged in the battery of a tool to charge it.
The battery exploded and caught fire.
When the originator heard the explosions and rushed back to his workshop, the room was already completely filled with smoke.
There was damage amounting to around 25,000 euros.
The victim, who tried to put out the fire himself, suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital.

The police were alerted around 10:50 a.m.
She assumes that a defect in the battery or charger led to the fire.
The volunteer fire departments from Steingaden and Urspring were on duty.
The Peitinger Wehr, which had also been alerted, was able to be called away again on the way to Urspring.
