Produced by three learning stakeholders – the Walt association, The Adecco Group foundation and Quintet Conseil – in partnership with the BVA survey institute, the report makes a first observation: the satisfaction rate is increasing.
“After the boom of 2020, we could fear a disappointing effect.
However, we observe the opposite.
The alternation is taking root.
It has become part of the habits of businesses and young people alike, which improves mutual understanding and the quality of the experience,” analyzes Alain Druelles, founding partner of Quintet Conseil.
90% of companies say they are satisfied or very satisfied with this system.
Barely less than their apprentices (91%).
Formerly perceived as a default choice, even suffered by students supposedly less studious, alternation is now desired.
93% of students say they opted for it without constraint, two thirds of them even making it a criterion for choosing their orientation.
“The financial aspect plays its role, but learning has also clearly become an element of enhancing training,” observes Alain Druelles.

Several areas for improvement are emerging.
Starting with better connections.
In fact, half of the companies and 44% of the candidates mention difficulties in finding their happiness.
“The CFAs play a big role in this meeting.
They must be supported by a denser exchange between employment stakeholders and local partners, such as better support for candidates,” recommends the founder of Quintet Conseil.
The important role of the apprenticeship master
The rate of contract terminations is largely forgotten in the debates.
“No detailed study exists on this point.
It’s embarrassing,” laments Alain Druelles.
According to surveys, this termination rate is around 20% of contracts.
40% would occur at the start of the mission.
“It’s rather positive, because it gives the young person time to bounce back.
» But a more detailed analysis of situations would make it possible to detect difficulties even earlier and to correct some of them.
At the heart of a successful experience are two characters: the CFA representative and the apprenticeship supervisor.
“The dialogue between this couple is the key,” insists the founding partner of Quintet Conseil.
But there is no question for him of forcing or systematizing these exchanges.
“Let’s definitely not invent a gas factory.
It’s simply a matter of remembering the importance of talking to each other, in a practical, simple, concrete way.”
Thus learning will progress.
“Today we are at a plateau.
The numbers will no longer see double-digit growth.
The emphasis must therefore be placed on quality.
