The IDF spokesman updated this evening (Wednesday) that since October 7, 563 soldiers have fallen, and more than 9,000 combat wounded have been evacuated to the various hospitals. 55% of the casualties - fell since the beginning of the ground maneuver in the Gaza Strip. Earlier today, the IDF announced that it intends to extend the regular service of men and women in combat positions to 36 months. The army explains that the future planning will significantly increase the number of servicemen in the reserves at any point in time at a rate of up to five times compared to the year 2023. In the current year, the reserve servants will make up about 10% of the servants. Meanwhile, the age of exemption from reserves is expected to increase from 40 to 46.
