Prince Harry
returns to California
after
a transatlantic race to see his father
, King Charles III, in London following the monarch's shocking cancer diagnosis, the Mail Online reported Wednesday.
The Duke of Sussex
returned to Heathrow on Wednesday afternoon
after being escorted to Clarence House under police escort from the same airport a day earlier to see his father.
Harry flew to London on a 10-hour flight from Los Angeles on Tuesday, arriving at the royal residence at 2:42 p.m. before spending about 45 minutes with Charles.
After the meeting, the king departed Clearence House and boarded a helicopter at Buckingham Palace for Sandringham.

They had
a "brief meeting"
before the King and Camilla were driven to Buckingham Palace, where the helicopter was waiting to take them back to Sandringham in Norfolk.
Harry, 39,
had flown more than 5,000 miles from Los Angeles to London
after his father informed him of his devastating diagnosis.
It was their first formal in-person meeting since the late Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022. The duke attended Charles' coronation at Westminster Abbey in May last year, but was not seen interacting with the newlyweds. crowned
The king "tired" from his operation
A palace source told The Times that Harry and the King's meeting was brief because
Charles was tired from a procedure on Monday.

But they said the king, 75, and queen, 76,
were "coping magnificently",
adding: "If you didn't know what the problem was, you would have no idea he was suffering from any condition."
Harry, Duke of Sussex, is not believed to have seen his brother William or his sister-in-law Kate Middleton, who is recovering from abdominal surgery and is on prolonged leave due to an undisclosed condition.
There were hopes that it had been a chance for
the brothers to salvage their strained relationship.
Harry flew to London alone.
His wife Meghan and his two children remained in Montecitos, California.
His return to Los Angeles was scheduled on a British Airways flight, with a landing time at LAX at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.
