Lufthansa ground staff are on strike - almost all of the airline's flights at Munich Airport are canceled.
Affected passengers should now take note of a few things.
Munich Airport - What had been announced for days became reality today (February 7th): Lufthansa ground staff are on strike - Munich is particularly affected, as are Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin.
A look at the departures at Erdinger Moos shows: Almost all flights were canceled; Lufthansa has already canceled between 80 and 90 percent of its approximately 1,000 planned flights for Wednesday as a precautionary measure.
More than 100,000 passengers had to reschedule.
Lufthansa advises passengers on canceled flights not to go to the airport anyway
“We have an extremely high willingness to strike,” said a Verdi spokesman.
The union assumes that Lufthansa will probably not be able to carry out the fuselage flight plan as planned.
Passengers should urgently find out about their flight before their trip - Lufthansa warns against coming to the airport despite canceled flights.
“Due to the strike, the rebooking counters are unfortunately not staffed,” the airline’s website said.
Rebooking options are available via lufthansa.com, the customer app and the service center.

Because of the warning strike, many flights will be canceled on Wednesday (February 7th).

Domestic German flight tickets are valid for rail transport
If flights within Germany are canceled, customers can use their flight ticket to take the train.
The strike ends on Thursday (February 8th) at 7:10 a.m. - Lufthansa is expecting a rather bumpy start to the day.
The situation should finally return to normal on Friday (February 9th).
