Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in his statement this evening (Wednesday) that "We are a touch away from complete victory. It is not a matter of months or years. It is within reach."
The press conference is being held against the background of Hamas' response to the outline of the hostage deal, which demanded an end to the war.
"Surrendering to Hamas' demands will not lead to the release of the abductees - but to another massacre," he said.
In a meeting with Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant, Blinken said that Israel must take more significant steps to ensure that the IDF's activities do not harm the UN teams that distribute aid to the Palestinian population in Gaza, under the auspices of the UN or other international organizations, where they are Palestinian citizens.

According to an Israeli senior official who is aware of the details of the meeting, Blinken expressed concern during the IDF's operation in Rafah.
