A man was in cardiorespiratory arrest on Wednesday evening after exchanges of fire with the police in Noisy-le-Grand after the triggering of a “serious danger telephone”, a protection device for victims of domestic violence, we learned from police sources.
Shortly before 8 p.m., “a woman looked through the peephole in her door and saw her ex, she triggered the “serious danger telephone””, relates a police source.
“The police had to use their weapon after being the target of gunfire from the perpetrator.”
“When the police arrived, the husband was on the stairs.
He opened fire immediately, and the Noisy-le-Grand Bac responded,” a police source explains to Le Parisien.

The “Severe Danger Phone” includes a pre-programmed emergency call button that triggers a rapid response by law enforcement.
It is granted by the courts to women victims of domestic violence.
The system, tested since 2009 in Seine-Saint-Denis, was generalized in 2014 to the rest of France, where nearly 5,000 telephones are now deployed.
