The Saarland state parliament is continuing its deliberations.

Now it's about three constitutional amendments.

Saarbrücken - Three constitutional amendments are on the agenda of the Saarland state parliament at its plenary session this Wednesday.

The changes were proposed jointly by the ruling SPD and the opposition CDU.

There is therefore no doubt about the assumption.

An amendment removes the term “race” from the constitution when listing possible grounds for discrimination.

In the future, Article 12 should instead state that no one may be disadvantaged or favored “due to racist attributions”.

In addition, the principle of sustainability should be included in the constitution.

In the future, it should be the state's responsibility to act according to the principle of sustainability in order to protect the interests of future generations.

A third amendment stipulates “the protection and promotion of the state” for taking on voluntary work.
