The municipality of Tutzing officially has a new town hall boss: Ludwig Horn (CSU) has been sworn in.

He is the second youngest mayor in Bavaria.

Tutzing - At yesterday's local council meeting in Tutzing, the new mayor Ludwig Horn (CSU) was sworn in.

He won the election in November, in which the previous mayor Marlene Greinwald (FW) also ran.

At 27, Horn is now the second youngest mayor in Bavaria.

Rolf Bäck (CSU) will take his place on the local council.

He was also sworn in on Monday evening.

The new mayor of Tutzing opened the first meeting under his leadership on Monday evening at exactly 6:15 p.m.

Wearing a black suit and black tie, just a week after taking office, he swore loyalty to the Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Constitution of the Free State of Bavaria, obedience to the laws and conscientious fulfillment of his official duties.

It was a “great pleasure and an honor” to swear in the new mayor, said Second Mayor Elisabeth Dörrenberg (CSU).

And after the act, the local council and visitors also showed their support with sustained applause.

Horn made his inaugural speech to the local council concise.

“I hope for good cooperation,” he said, and promised not to keep the meetings too long, before moving on to the agenda and appointing the new local council member Rolf Bäck to office.

The CSU man did not make it onto the committee straight away in the 2020 local council election and is now the CSU list replacement for Ludwig Horn, who left the council.

The position would actually have gone to the first successor on the list, Brigitte Grande.

However, at the beginning of December 2023, she informed the community that she would not accept the office.

The local council therefore unanimously decided to have Bäck von Horn sworn in.

Change in Tutzinger statutes: The “mayor” becomes a “mayor”

Because the position of mayor was now held by men, a formal change in the statutes was subsequently necessary to regulate questions of local municipal constitutional law.

“First mayor” became “first mayor”.

Committee meeting in Tutzing: There is no change in the local council meeting fees

The motion put forward by the Alliance 90/The Greens faction to change the statutes so that in future only council members who attend local council meetings for more than half an hour were only paid the meeting fee of 30 euros did not receive a majority with six votes.

Dr.

Ernst Lindl (CSU), after all, every local council member who comes fulfills his obligations.

Claus Piesch (FW), on the other hand, thought the proposal put forward by Flora Weichmann (Greens) was very good because it could save the municipality money.

Barbara Doll (UWG) sees the possible change in attendance fees as an additional expense in billing and therefore spoke out against it;

If you are unable to attend meetings, representatives should be appointed.

Georg Schuster (FDP) is also against changing the statutes because of the small amount, which is only paid at council meetings and not at committee meetings.

Caroline Krug (ÖDP) is honored to serve on the local council - she also decided to leave the statutes in their original form.

At the meeting after the swearing-in: Tutzingen municipal council sets the mayor's salary

Because it concerned the salary of the new mayor, his deputy took over the agenda item “Determination of the basic salary, compensation for service expenses and travel expenses for the first mayor from January 31, 2024”.

According to the Local Electoral Officials Act (KWBG), he is classified as a temporary civil servant and, according to a unanimous decision by the local council, in salary group B2 of the Bavarian Salary Act.

Horn's compensation for service expenses corresponds to the maximum amount specified in the KWBG, and the travel costs correspond to the Bavarian Travel Expenses Act.
