Security is increasingly on the minds of Ile-de-France residents.
In the so-called “victimization” survey carried out in January and February 2023 among 9,000 Ile-de-France residents, the security issue is gaining ground: it is the second concern of those surveyed, behind the fight against poverty, but, and it is again, in the face of the fight against unemployment.
This survey, relaunched every two years since 2001, which covers the years 2020-2022, aims to measure the feeling of insecurity and the experience of residents of the eight departments of the region.
Frédéric Péchenard, vice-president in charge of security and victim assistance at the Île-de-France regional council, alongside Valérie Pécresse (Libres!), sees this as approval of the arbitrations carried out since 2015 with a significant increase in the security budget.
