Des Moines – A newly married teacher from the US state of Iowa has admitted to sexually abusing young students.
24-year-old Cassidy Kraus now faces up to 33 years in prison.
Sexual abuse and display of pornographic material: teacher admits actions
Krauss pleaded guilty on Monday (February 5) to sexual abuse and distributing and displaying pornographic material to minors.
Her sentencing is scheduled to be read on March 11.

The scandal became public in autumn 2023.
Specifically, there are three cases of sexual abuse.
The indictment states that the 24-year-old showed a 13-year-old student pornographic material and “touched his genitals” after school.
Kraus is said to have had “repeated sexual acts” with two 14-year-old students.
This emerges from several consistent reports from local and regional media.
There was recently an outcry at a school in Italy after a 17-year-old student stabbed a teacher.

The young teacher actually seemed to be an ordinary 24-year-old: she had received several awards at her university for outstanding academic achievements and was a long-time runner on her school's track and field team.

However, the marriage didn't last long: Kraus' husband filed for divorce when he found out about the abuse.
Krauss quit her job herself to avoid being fired.
In Bad Hersfeld in November, a 26-year-old soldier was convicted of sexually abusing a woman of the same age.
