The efficiency label, key when choosing
In addition to the price and the amount of the installments, when selecting an air conditioner it is important to review its
level of
energy
efficiency , since this will have a direct impact on electricity bills for many years.
All conditioners sold in Argentina must carry
a standardized label
that qualifies their degree of efficiency with a letter.
What this small sticker tells you is basically whether the device that carries it is one of those that
uses the most electricity
to offer the same amount of cold, or if it is among the most economical, or somewhere in between.
Until recently, a scale that included classes D (for minimum efficiency), C, B and A (for maximum efficiency) was used to show this.
But, due to technological advances, for split airs a new IRAM standard added classes
A+, A++ and A+++
in 2019 .
The label also reveals the heating mode
