Surprisingly, both the forensic experts and the psychologist gave a favorable report to the Brazilian. The former soccer player will be the last to testify this Wednesday at the Barcelona Court.

This Wednesday, the third and last day of the trial of former footballer Dani Alves for a crime of sexual assault, the court heard from the doctors, forensic experts and psychiatrists who in the early morning of December 31, 2022 assisted the young woman who reported having been raped by the former Barça defender.

The Brazilian, who will be the last to testify this Wednesday at the Barcelona Court

, could be sentenced to between 9 and 12 years in prison.

The witnesses cited were the specialists who assisted the young woman at the Hospital Cliníc in Barcelona and who accompanied her in the months after the attack she reported.

“When he arrived,

I had a feeling of fear, a certain tension.

She looked like a coherent and educated girl

”, They pointed out about the emotional state of the complainant, she barely showed up at the hospital.

And they confirmed that he suffers from post-traumatic stress.

“There are no vaginal injuries,” was another aspect that the forensic experts declared.

It is not the most common but it can happen

.

Statistics say that (injuries) are more frequent in non-consensual intercourse.

But in consensual intercourse we have seen vaginal injuries.”

The report does not note any injuries.

The complainant's story does not coincide with the objective examination of the forensic doctor

, ”said one of the doctors.

“There are no signs that there was violent intercourse.

It makes me think that intercourse was not that traumatic,” declared another specialist.

Alves' defense lawyer wanted to delve deeper into the violence that the girl declared she had suffered.

“What were described as slaps, hair pulling, are they consistent with what the report indicates?” asked Inés Guardiola, the third lawyer that Alves changed since he was in preventive detention.

“There is no physical aggression except for scoliation (a scraped knee),” was the response.

Regarding the traces of genetic material that were collected in an oral swab from the complainant, the forensic experts responded: “It is not coincidental, it is compatible with that of the (alleged) aggressor.”

They clarified, however, that it is generally difficult to isolate a representative amount of DNA in the oral mucosa.

Six drinks in an hour

Two psychological experts provided their report on Alves' relationship with alcohol, which is one of the strong points in the former footballer's defense strategy: trying to prove that Alves acted that morning under the effects of a drunken state.

The testimony of his wife, the model Joana Sanz, collaborated in this direction: “He returned home very drunk, smelling of alcohol.

“He crashed into the closet and collapsed on the bed,” the model said in court during the second day of the trial.

“There is no type of problem with alcohol,” said the psychologist experts who analyzed the possible links between Dani Alves and alcohol addiction.

They pointed out that on the night of December 31, 2022, Alves drank too much “to lose his inhibitions.”

And that

he had his cognitive faculties slightly altered

.

Although he knew what he did.

From the ticket from the restaurant where he dined and from the security cameras that recorded it at the Sutton disco, the experts recorded that, that night, Dani Alves dined at a table where he drank

five bottles of wine and one of whiskey

.

And from Sutton's videos, they were able to infer that "in less than an hour he drank six glasses of cava."

In their conclusions, however, they stated: “

We did not find any trait compatible with a violent person

.”

It is unlikely that a person like Mr. Alves would have a tendency toward aggression

,” they testified.

Behind the witnesses, Dani Alves in a white T-shirt and black jeans listened to what was being said about him with his hands together between his legs and his gaze lowered.
