There is no trace of Wolfgang Bahro at GZSZ.
Is the actor nothing more than Dr.
See Joachim Gerner?
Berlin – Wolfgang Bahro (63) has been an integral part of “Good Times, Bad Times” since 1993.
His character Dr.
Joachim Gerner is an integral part of the Kolle neighborhood.
Now the TV star can no longer be seen in the RTL series.
Did he get out secretly?
Wolfgang Bahro: Break from GZSZ – what the actor is doing instead
After over 30 years in one role, every actor would probably need a change.
The same applies to Wolfgang Bahro, which is why he takes a break every year from “Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten” to bring variety into his everyday work.
In an interview with
RTL.de,
the actor now revealed: "Like every year, I'm taking a short creative break, also to devote myself to other projects that I don't otherwise find time for." This year he's planning to write a script for his book which he wrote years ago for his son David and published in 2020.
New storylines: This is what continues with Jo Gerner at GZSZ
His time out is extremely important to Wolfgang Bahro in order to gather new inspiration.
That's why he takes time for this too.
Jo Gerner is not scheduled to return to Berlin until mid-March.
His absence in “Good Times, Bad Times” is explained by the fact that he accepts a visiting professorship at the elite US university Harvard.
The GZSZ veteran hopes that viewers will notice Gerner's absence.
In the interview he jokes: “I actually hope that they are eagerly awaiting my return.”
When he gets back to Berlin, there will certainly be a lot of excitement waiting for Jo Gerner.
For example, foster child Lukas, played by Oliver Szerkus (20), still lives with Gerner and his wife Yvonne, played by Gisa Zach (49).
According to Bahro, the connection between Gerner and the boy is so strong because Lukas is a kind of son replacement for Gerner's deceased son Dominik, played by Raúl Richter (37).
“He sees this young man as his son,” explains Bahro.
So there's a lot of plot material for Gerner's return.
