A “Cash for Rares” participant on Horst Lichter’s ZDF show sparked discussions with a worn-out walking stick.
But in the end he is offered a large sum for exactly that.
Cologne – In the Wednesday edition of the ZDF junk show “Bares für Rares” Tobias Pagel (42) from Konstanz brought a rather unusual product for the dealers.
But the “ugly” walking stick is worth much more than expected.
In the end, the show participant was even rewarded with five times the desired price by Horst Lichter's (62) dealer colleagues.
Valuable walking stick: Three “Cash for Rares” dealers are interested – and are offering a lot
For some candidates, a visit to Horst Lichter's “Cash for Rares” can be a disappointment; for others, participation turns out to be worthwhile.
Like the teacher Tobias, who created a lot of conversation with an old stick.
Walter Lehnertz (56) called the product a “crutch” that was “ugly as hell” in his eyes.

Nevertheless, in the end the “ugly” stick was paid more than five times the desired price!
Tobias hoped for 50 euros for the attic find and ultimately received 260 euros from “Cash for Rares” dealer Wolfgang Pauritsch (51).
And he wasn't the only interested party.
But why?
RTL jungle camp imitates ZDF concept
The ZDF junk format is still very popular today: no wonder that other broadcasters are inspired by the afternoon format - like the RTL jungle camp recently.
On the seventh day of “I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here!”, three candidates had to appear for a food test called “Bah!res for Gares”.
The rancher Matt imitated the popular presenter Horst Lichter with a beard and glasses.
The jungle imitation of “Bares für Rares” was celebrated online.
Horst Lichter finds it “extremely interesting”: there’s more hidden in the “Cash for Rares” walking stick
A look inside provides information about this: the product is a system stock, as “Bares für Rares” expert Detlev Kümmel (55) explained.
They were manufactured from the 19th century onwards and can be screwed on: this means that the owner can hide something inside, such as a knife or corkscrew - “extremely interesting”, as Horst Lichter thinks.

The dealers also ultimately had great interest in the property and pushed each other's price up.
This time there were no arguments at the auction - the “Cash for Rares” dealers argued about the product once or twice.
