» This Thursday afternoon, two days after having suffered a violent theft, Joao, the treasurer of the APAC club, the Portuguese Academica Champigny Association, still trembles like a leaf when he arrives in front of the club premises, rue des Belles -views.
“I’ve been coming here for thirty years and this is the first time it’s done this to me,” notes this “72 and a half year old” father, as he explains.

Tuesday evening, two men, hooded and gloved, threatened him with a handgun and hit him with the butt to seize his bag which contained several thousand euros, including "teachers' expenses", details the treasurer.
They left with part of the funds from this community football club of 580 members.
The town, since the 1960s, has welcomed a strong Portuguese community, particularly in what was the largest slum in France.
