A serious accident on the Munich motorway ring road (A99) causes a complete closure at the Munich-Ost junction.
Apparently two trucks are involved.

- According to initial information, two trucks collided on the A99 between Raststette Vaterstetten and the Munich-Ost motorway junction.
According to the initial alarm, one person was trapped.
The information situation about the alarm on Thursday, February 8th, around 11:35 a.m. is still confusing.

One thing is certain, however: The A99 motorway is completely closed near Vaterstetten in the direction of Nuremberg, i.e. north.
Traffic is now backed up for miles, all the way back past the Haar/Vaterstetten junction.
The responsible Hohenbrunn motorway police station advises you to avoid the area and, best of all, get off the motorway early.
Accident on the A99 Munich-Ost: Fire brigade arrives with a crane - the duration of the closure is not yet foreseeable
The Vaterstetten and Parsdorf fire departments are in action, according to the rescuers.
In addition, the Munich fire department is on the way with a crane.
There are still no reports of injuries, possible damage or the load of the trucks involved.
According to the police and fire department, it is currently impossible to estimate how long the closure will last.
