Snow and slippery conditions are back in the Free State.
In Upper Franconia, cars sank under a blanket of snow and the winter service had a lot to do.
Hof - Snow was announced, Mrs. Holle delivered.
February started off exceptionally mild.
Finally, rain and stormy gusts swept across Germany.
But on Wednesday, February 7th, there was suddenly talk of snow - and not in the Alps.
The German Weather Service (DWD) has predicted up to eight centimeters.

Onset of winter in Hof - risk of flooding in parts of Bavaria
In Hof it became white within a very short time, the winter service in the Upper Franconian district was busy.
According to the weather service, the short-term onset of winter will last until Friday.
According to weather expert Stefan Ochs, there is a risk of flooding in parts of Franconia, while in the south of Bavaria it will be more like spring, according to News5 - the weather in the Free State could hardly be more different.
