The announcement will delight parishioners who have been waiting until then.
Senlis Cathedral should welcome worshipers and visitors again from March 30, according to a press release published this Thursday by the city of Senlis.
While the diocese had announced long months of closure, the building will be able to partially reopen.
“The idea was to allow the celebration of services during the Easter period,” confirms the municipality.
But the work will not be finished, there will always be a part closed to the public.

Since December 17, the monument has been closed.
That day, late in the afternoon, an accidental fire surprised some of the faithful present in the cathedral.
It broke out in a technical room following a problem in the electrical circuits.
The thirty firefighters dispatched to the site quickly put an end to it.
But the entire electrical system of the building was found to be affected.
“Securing spaces”
Since then, major work has been undertaken to repair the other damage caused, including “cleaning and decontamination of the disaster area, replacement of the electrical panel and bell controls as well as all damaged circuits and wiring”.
The city also specifies that it has “cleaned and restored” the sculptures and paintings damaged by the smoke.
Once “securing and bringing spaces into conformity” has been announced for March 30, a second phase of work will concern “reconstruction” and “repair of the temporarily neutralized zone” which will be “inaccessible to the public until complete completion of the work.
