Protesting farmers group AgriculturalRedemption will send four tractors around the Colosseum Fridayalong with 10 tractors sent to Piazza San Giovanni, the groupsaid Thursday.
"Tomorrow we will hold a procession with four tractors in the center of Rome, and we do not rule out that we will also pass in front of the Colosseum," Maurizio Sanigagliesi of Riscattoagricolo said at the end of a meeting in the prefecture.
"We are waiting for an answer from the police headquarters and the prefecture to organize a procession on the Grande RaccordoAnulare (ring road) tomorrow evening with the tractors of our garrison," he added.
Sanigagliesi reiterated that the group had asked for a meeting with Premier Giorgia Meloni and Farm Minister Francesco Lollobrigida.
"We are waiting for an answer from Saturday," said Sanigagliesi.
The group is threatening to "unleash" its tractor around the capital unless it gets an affirmative answer by noon Saturday.
