Verdict in the Bolognese trial: prison sentence and placement in a psychiatric hospital

Original message from February 7th

Geretsried – The trial surrounding the attempted murder with poisoned Bolognese (we reported) continues to raise many questions.

On the second day of the trial, the Munich II Regional Court tried to shed light on the environment of the accused nurse from Geretsried.

In particular, it was about possible psychological abnormalities in the 30-year-old before the attack on her fiancé in April last year.

The mother (61) reported that her accused daughter developed a love of order at a young age, which was expressed in the precise arrangement of foot rugs on entrance doors.

In the apartment with the later victim, nothing reminded of this strong sense of order.

The woman had once also collected and filed receipts.

She could still remember it herself.

“It was a compulsion to have to do that,” she said.

When asked by judge Thomas Bott, she explained that it had been very difficult to suppress the coercion.

“The tension then continues to increase.” Emotional nervousness arises.

The act, such as burning one's own cigarette, was not bad, but "the compulsion to have to do that was unpleasant."

Apparently the 30-year-old was also under pressure to poison her fiancé (31) with sedatives in the beloved Bolognese on that April evening.

After he collapsed in the bathroom, she even called an ambulance, who took him to the hospital, where he ultimately survived.

The compulsion was over at that moment, the unpleasant sensation made her react normally again.

Geretsried: Bolognese trial: Nurse originally wanted to kill a neighbor

The nurse had originally planned to kill an elderly neighbor whom she knew from walking the dachshund for political reasons.

The 80-year-old should have testified as a witness on Tuesday.

However, due to illness, only her police interview was read out.

Accordingly, she had never seen the defendant in Geretsried.

She did not recognize the 30-year-old in the photos presented.

The defendant would have liked to offer her ex-fiancé a financial compensation for the perpetrator-victim for what he suffered, but then the tall man had already disappeared again.

She told the judge that she would rather remain in a psychiatric hospital, even if that could mean a lifetime incarceration.

It is completely uncertain whether there will ever be a medication that will eliminate this compulsive danger to oneself or others.

The process is ongoing.
