An accident occurred on Tuesday evening at the Allguth gas station on Landsberger Straße in Gilching.

A motorcyclist was injured.

However, the emergency services had difficulties cordoning off the scene of the accident because some drivers simply continued driving.

Gilching

- An accident and unreasonable drivers who want to drive around the scene of the accident - the rescue workers had their hands full in Gilching on Tuesday evening.

At 5:30 p.m. there was a crash at the Allgut gas station: As the police report, the driver of a Mercedes (78) was driving on the state road from St. Gilgen and wanted to turn left to the gas station.

At the same time, a 59-year-old from Gilching was driving his Moto Guzzi motorcycle on state road 2069 in the opposite direction from the A 96 towards St. Gilgen.

The pensioner from Sauerlach overlooked the motorcycle and a collision occurred.

The motorcyclist suffered injuries to his legs and had to be taken to the hospital in Starnberg.

The 78-year-old remained uninjured.

Both vehicles were no longer drivable and the motorcycle had to be towed away using a crane.

The police estimate the total damage to property at around 20,000 euros.

Afterwards, some drivers did not want to accept the barriers that were necessary for security and clean-up work.

As Michael Klinglmair, deputy commander of the Gilching fire department, confirmed yesterday, several drivers drove around barriers on the traffic island near the gas station.

“Due to the high volume of traffic at this time, we had to completely close the state road from Landsberger Straße,” he explained.

“Some road users weren’t happy about that and tried to drive through anyway.” One driver set a particularly brisk pace and simply drove on across the oncoming lane.

“It was dangerous, but the police stopped them,” reported Klinglmair.

There were several critical situations.

“Fortunately, officers from the Gauting police helped us, thanks to the police for this.”

Klinglmair can no longer be upset about the behavior.

“We have this all the time,” he said.

It's like this: "We don't close a road to annoy people, but because it's necessary." In this case, the fire brigade had to bind up any leaked fuel from the motorcycle and also ensure the recovery of the vehicles.

Andreas Ruch, head of the Gauting police station, confirmed that some drivers were unimpressed by the closures.

Patrol officers stopped these drivers and warned them.

“But they showed understanding and apologized,” reported Ruch.

In principle, instructions from police officers and firefighters must be followed.

Anyone who ignores this will receive a fine of 20 euros.
