Bomb threats were received at six high schools and two comprehensive schools in Duisburg on Women's Carnival.
Children are allowed to stay at home, the police are on patrol.
Duisburg – The threatening emails came in the middle of the night: bomb warnings at six high schools and several comprehensive schools in Duisburg.

Of course, an investigation is still underway and patrols should be on site on Thursday (February 8th).
However, the situation was not so clear at the beginning.
24RHEIN also reports.
The Landfermann-Gymnasium was the first school to sound the alarm that night, as the station reports.
The school principal immediately informed the police about the threat.
This was followed, among others, by the Steinbart-Gymnasium, the Kopernikus-Gymnasium, the Hildegard-Gymnasium, the Elly-Heuss-Knapp-Gymnasium as well as the Heinrich-Heine-Gesamtschule and the Lise-Meitner-Gesamtschule.
According to police, a high single-digit number of schools are affected.
All schools open after bomb threats - but no normal classes in Duisburg
At Landfermann-Gymnasium, all parents and students were informed directly, but classes should still start normally.

The other schools reported the bomb threats on their websites.
Here, too, parents were left to decide whether to send their children to school.
All schools are open and childcare is in place.
However, as usual, lessons will not take place.
Most schools are hardly attended.

Short text with spelling errors
According to the police, the situation remains “ambiguous,” but there does not appear to be a serious threat.
The problem: The threatening email, which was sent to the Duisburg schools with the same name, is said to have been very short and contained many spelling errors.
Last year there were numerous bomb threats at schools in Germany.
In Bavaria, most recently in Erlangen, where classes were canceled and the Albert Schweitzer High School was searched with sniffer dogs.
