An indictment will be filed against the suspect in the murder of Ilana Azgadian in the cell/spokesperson of the Israel Police
An indictment was filed this morning (Thursday) against Daniel Margoshin, who murdered the tourist Ilana Azgadian in the apartment where she was staying last month.
The indictment states that Margoshin set the apartment on fire to cover up the murder he committed and to thwart the criminal investigation.
Margoshin is charged with crimes of aggravated murder, attempted murder, arson and obstruction of justice.
Margoshin knew Azgadian through a website for the consumption of prostitution services, and knew where she lived.
After deciding to murder her, he found out how to get into her apartment, and found access to the balcony of the apartment from the roof of a nearby building, through which he entered on the night of the murder, while she was sleeping.
At this point he went to the bed and started stabbing her with a knife.
She woke up from her sleep, and tried to defend herself but failed.
Margoshin stayed in the apartment until the early hours of the morning, then set her body on fire using a flammable substance inside the house, which also began to burn.

After the apartment was set on fire, Margoshin left the apartment with a knife he took from her, and went to Jerusalem to pray at the Western Wall.
In the afternoon, near the nation's buildings in Jerusalem, he was spotted by several policemen, who wanted to arrest him.
In response, he pulled out the knife and attacked the policemen.
In response, he was shot on the spot, injured and arrested.
In relation to Margoshin's dangerousness, Attorney Tal stated in the arrest request that "it would be too short to describe his dangerousness, as is evident from his actions described in the indictment.
His actions are in fact the nightmare of every citizen, who goes to sleep in his home, and in the dead of night a man enters and slaughters him very brutally, with dozens of knife stabs, without any provocation, while he sleeps.
After the murder, the respondent hid his abominable conduct, all in order to disrupt a future investigation, and set fire to the deceased and her apartment, while leaving her blood-soaked body and the animals she cared for inside her apartment.
