Constant rain is still not stopping the Jecken from celebrating - especially not since this year's street carnival officially opened at 11:11 a.m.
The only thing that is even more numerous than umbrellas are containers with alcohol, which the revelers of course have a lot of fun with.

While the young crowd is mainly heading towards Zülpicher Straße in Cologne, a number of jecken can also be found in the morning at the Heumarkt and the Alter Markt (near the Cologne Cathedral), where there is a large one Stage is set up.

The Cologne fire department has set up a so-called emergency care center near the popular Zülpicher Straße party mile, where mainly younger people gather on Women's Carnival in Cologne.
This offers space for up to 50 patients who have “drunk beyond their thirst” but do not require emergency care.
