Many Jecken in Cologne celebrate the start of the street carnival with Weiberfastnacht.

Cologne - Finally the time has come: On Thursday (February 8th) many carnivalists in Cologne will celebrate the Cologne Carnival 2024 with Weiberfastnacht. Already in the morning there were many jeckens in colorful costumes in Cologne on Weiberfastnacht.
In addition to “rut un wiess” there are also costumes such as kings and clowns.
And many carnival participants were also well prepared for the bad weather on Weiberfastnacht.
So some Jecken took to the streets with umbrellas and rain protection to celebrate.
There are celebrations everywhere - on the streets, in the bars and at the numerous other events in the Cologne Carnival 2024.
