The contract for the Unterallgäu care base was recently concluded between the care and health insurance companies, the district and the district.
Unterallgäu - According to district administrator Alex Eder, the nursing base in the Unterallgäu district was put on track with an “extra round”, but with “heart and soul”.
Contract for the Unterallgäu care base concluded - the base will start working in April at the latest
The topic was discussed for the first time in Unterallgäu in 2021.
In July 2023, the Committee for Human Resources and Social Affairs finally spoke out in favor of the base in the so-called employee model.
This means that the nursing base's staff is hired by the district.
The contract for the care base was recently concluded between the care and health insurance companies, the district and the Swabia district.
Regina Merk-Bäuml, management of AOK Memmingen, was looking forward to the collaboration.
She was convinced that we could do a lot of good together.
Alfons Weber, deputy district council president, was also convinced of the establishment of the base.
In the Lower Allgäu, a high proportion of people are cared for at home - and it should stay that way.
The task of the base is to be open to those seeking advice and answer questions about the topic of care.
The advice is free of charge and competitively neutral.

Hubert Plepla from the senior concept coordination office at the district office was also noticeably happy.
It would be a tremendous added value for those affected if the required information no longer had to be obtained from different organizations.
The base will be staffed with 2.5 full-time positions.
