All you have to do is type “employment”, “municipal police officer”, “recruitment” and “Oise” on Google to see a host of advertisements pop up.
Beauvais, Bresles, Compiègne, Chantilly, Creil or Méru, all these municipalities in the department have one thing in common: they are looking for one or more municipal police officers.
And for some of these cities, recruiting looks like an obstacle course.

As in Méru which shows a deficit of eight positions out of a workforce of twenty agents.
“Our problem is that it has gotten worse over time, the departures, more or less old, have accumulated,” sighs Catherine Lebrun, the mayor’s chief of staff.
And over the past year and a half, it has become very complicated to recruit.
