Cáritas Argentina for more than $310 million
for the purchase of food, amid strong demand from picketing organizations for more funds to be transferred to them.
It is the
second agreement
that Pettovello closes this week, since on Monday he had agreed in José C. Paz on a
support program with evangelical sectors
led by the organization that brings them together, Aciera, in that case, a global amount of $177.5 million .
In the case of
Cáritas
, this is a second gesture by the minister, who
did not want to negotiate with the picketing sectors
that pressure her for more resources and who last Monday called for a march to the Human Capital headquarters to protest.
This is
an approach from the Government to the Church
, after the Episcopal Conference raised the need for the funds to be transferred urgently.
“We are very happy to have signed the renewal of the snack agreement that we have had with the national State for a long time.
We will continue working alongside those suffering from the food crisis within the framework of the serious social situation that is being experienced.
