Penzberg/Antdorf - Cases of trick calls are currently increasing in Penzberg and Antdorf.
The police are warning about the so-called grandchild scam.
According to police in Penzberg and Antdorf, there were several so-called grandchild trick calls on Wednesday (February 7th).
People were called and relatives were informed about alleged traffic accidents.
The aim of the callers was to get people to hand over money, the police said.
Luckily, those called recognized the scam and hung up immediately.
No damage was therefore caused.

As more and more calls are being detected again, the police are warning against falling for the so-called grandchild scam.
