The international anti-jihadist coalition led by Washington has become a
“factor of instability”
in Iraq, a military spokesperson for the Iraqi Prime Minister blasted Thursday, the day after a new American strike which killed a senior commander of an armed group pro-Iran in the capital Baghdad.
“This path pushes the Iraqi government more than ever to put an end to the mission of this coalition, which has become a factor of instability in Iraq, and threatens to drag Iraq into a
regional conflict,” deplored General Yehia Rasool, military spokesperson for Prime Minister Mohamed Chia al-Soudani, after the strikes carried out by Washington on Iraqi territory against armed pro-Iran groups in response to attacks targeting American forces.
