The police rescued a lamb that was just a few days old from the highway.
The little sheep wandered all alone on the A99.
Oberschleißheim - A Freising traffic police patrol rescued an eight-day-old lamb from great danger.
The sheep was traveling alone on the A99 near the Feldmoching motorway triangle at around 6.20 a.m. yesterday.
Two road users saw it standing on the shoulder and alerted the police.
According to the police, the lamb was caught relatively easily.
No trace of the mother anywhere.
It was therefore first taken to the office.
Nobody knows how it got onto the highway.
“The lamb is fine”
Since a responsible shepherd could not be found, the colleagues ultimately took it to a shepherd's farm in Hochmutting.
The lamb finds a temporary new home there until the animal's rightful owner comes forward.
It is raised there in a bottle in a breeding station.
The age of the animal was estimated there.
“The lamb is fine,” reports the police.
