Highlights: Viamedis and Almerys, two operators who manage third-party payment for complementary health insurance, were recently hacked. “The attack is massive, the leak is colossal,” laments Pascal Le Digol, cybersecurity expert at WatchGuard Technologies. The data that leaked is, for policyholders and their families, marital status, date of birth, social security number, name of health insurer and the guarantees of the contract taken out. Banking information, medical data, postal and email addresses, and telephone numbers, however, would not be affected.
