The first thirty pages are unbearable.
It is April 29, 1983, in Rouen, in a small apartment located on the tenth floor of a building.
Tragedy is being written before our eyes.
It is inexorable.
The story is all the more terrible because it is told by a 7-year-old child, Ophélie, known as Little Folette.
We hear his mother, trembling and distraught, shouting several times:
“My husband is going to kill me!”
She addresses
"Mr. Vidame"
, who takes care of the accounts of the couple who are over-indebted and placed under curatorship.
The husband is furious, he demands money from his wife to buy his beer and his “firecracker” – he is already drunk.
